Unit Overview
Are you ever perplexed about time? Have you found it frustrating to be told you have to do something at a certain time that you didn’t expect? Do you ever get frustrated because you thought it was time to do a certain thing only to find out it was time to do something else? Why do people say “Time is on my side?” or “There is not enough time.” or “We have run out of time.” Or “I need more time.” What does my teacher mean when she says “next year or last year or in five years?” What is all this talk about time?
Keeping track of time takes a few skills and EDU TIME is just the unit to learn these skills. Get out your pencil and your ruler! Take down that clock on the wall. Pull out your calendar. We are going to lay it all out so you can visually experience time. With this course you will learn how to use time to become aware of what is going to happen and when, or, what has happened and when. And what to do if you get confused and need some help to find out where you are in time. Special focus will be on creating art about time. You will develop your own timeline and learn how to plot all of the birthdays of your favorite people.
